SoHo is getting a fresh dose of Parisian cashmere. French label Kujten is heading to 92 Greene Street, taking a multi-level storefront in the middle of the block between Spring and Prince streets that will total roughly 2,567 square feet. The Greene Street outpost will be the brand’s second U.S. retail location, following its Madison Avenue debut last fall, and signals a clear push to build a bigger presence with a prominent, street-facing boutique.
According to Commercial Observer, Kujten signed a long-term lease at Acadia Realty Trust’s 92 Greene Street on June 1 for a 2,567-square-foot space split between a 1,531-square-foot ground floor and a 1,036-square-foot lower level. Newmark negotiated the deal on behalf of Acadia, and the asking rent was pegged at about $1.65 million per year. The storefront is expected to open in the fall, and the outlet reported that a broker praised Kujten as a strong match for SoHo’s evolving retail lineup.
The expansion was also reported by the New York Business Journal, which noted that the Greene Street space measures more than 2,500 square feet. The lease comes on the heels of Kujten’s U.S. debut last year on Madison Avenue; the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District lists the brand at 831 Madison Avenue.
SoHo’s pull for luxury labels
SoHo is still a magnet for global fashion names, even as Manhattan’s retail market tightens. REBNY’s H2 2025 Manhattan Retail Report cites a sharp uptick in asking rents along SoHo’s Broadway corridor, and market data from Cushman & Wakefield shows SoHo availability at under 10 percent in the first quarter of 2026, conditions that make high-visibility corners especially valuable for brand-building. That mix of low vacancy and heavy foot traffic has kept landlords and brokers very busy in the neighborhood.
What shoppers can expect
Kujten’s Madison Avenue opening leaned into airy, product-forward displays and spotlighted the label’s signature cashmere bandana, a look its U.S. rollout appears likely to repeat. As Resident and the brand’s own site note, Kujten already operates dozens of boutiques across Europe and has been positioning itself for transatlantic growth. Commercial Observer reports that spokespeople did not immediately respond to requests for comment; a Newmark broker told the outlet, “Kujten is exactly the kind of brand that defines what SoHo is becoming, authentic, design-driven, and globally recognized.”
