
A summer night at a Penn Hills pool party turned chaotic when gunfire broke out late Saturday, sending guests scrambling and leaving one person wounded. The shooting happened during a private summer event at the Greater Pittsburgh Aquatic Club’s outdoor pool on Twin Oak Drive.
Officials said the shots rang out just after 10:30 p.m. on June 13. One person was taken to a hospital after the incident. Witnesses reported hearing multiple rounds, and the gathering was estimated at more than 100 people, according to WTAE.
The facility houses the Greater Pittsburgh Aquatic Club and hosts both year-round swim programs and private rentals for outdoor pool events.
