
This afternoon, gunfire outside the Kemper Apartments on Kemper Lane in Cincinnati's Walnut Hills left two people shot, one of them critically injured, and another person in custody, according to police. Emergency crews rushed at least one victim to a hospital, and the person taken into custody was also transported for medical treatment. Police have not released any names, possible charges or a suspected motive, keeping key details under wraps for now.
The shooting unfolded near East McMillan Street outside the Kemper Apartments, according to WKRC. Officers remained on scene while investigators and medics went to work, the station reported. Police did not immediately say what they believe led up to the burst of violence.

This double shooting is the latest in a string of violent episodes in the neighborhood this spring. In May, FOX19 reported a fatal shooting in Walnut Hills, and June 22 knife attack coverage detailed an assault at a Kemper Lane apartment.
