The town of Kiefer is reeling after the death of 18-year-old Talan Chesser, a recent Kiefer High School graduate and active Kiefer FFA member, who was killed in a Creek County crash on June 24. Word of the collision moved quickly through the tight-knit agricultural community, leaving classmates, coaches and neighbors stunned. While details of the crash remain limited, school and chapter leaders are already working to support students and Chesser’s family.
The crash occurred Thursday, June 24, in Creek County and resulted in Chesser’s death. Kiefer FFA issued a public statement mourning the loss, honoring Chesser’s role in the chapter and offering support to its members. Kiefer Public Schools announced that grief counselors would be available beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Kiefer High School agriculture building. Chesser’s FFA Achievements
Chesser is listed among the recipients of the 2026 State FFA Degree, according to the official roll from the Oklahoma FFA Association’s state convention in May, as published by the Oklahoma FFA Association. The honor reflects sustained work in agricultural education and leadership within his chapter.
