Kennesaw’s Town Center corridor is officially getting a new hotel player, with dirt now turning for a 123-room Hampton Inn that developer Vector Hospitality says should open in summer 2027. The project is expected to bring a wave of construction work up front and permanent hospitality jobs once the doors open, with the hotel aimed squarely at students, corporate travelers and sports fans headed to nearby Kennesaw State University and Truist Park.
Vector has broken ground on the Hampton Inn Atlanta Kennesaw NW/Town Center at a site off Cobb Place Lane NW, according to THP News. The outlet reports the property will fly the Hampton by Hilton flag, feature 123 rooms and is scheduled to welcome guests in summer 2027. In a statement quoted by THP News, Vector president Aman Patel said the company sees “tremendous long-term growth throughout this corridor.”
On the financing side, Cronheim Hotel Capital has arranged construction funding and secured terms that cover up to 70% of the total project costs, New York Real Estate Journal reported. That report noted construction was expected to begin in May 2026 on a roughly 14-month schedule. Sturgis Construction, which lists itself as the project’s general contractor, posted that work was expected to start earlier this year.
Developer Background And Market Fit
Vector, an Atlanta-based developer with multiple Hilton-affiliated projects on its resume, says it has been active in the Kennesaw market for nearly 20 years, according to the company’s website. That local track record is part of the sales pitch. Town Center’s blend of steady university traffic, surrounding retail and nearby sports venues makes it the kind of suburban market that midscale brands like Hampton typically chase.
What The Hotel Will Offer And The Local Impact
The new build is expected to come with the standard Hampton package: complimentary hot breakfast, a fitness center, meeting space and outdoor gathering areas, features outlined by THP News. The development should generate construction jobs in the near term and add permanent hospitality positions and tax revenue for Cobb County over the long haul, according to New York Real Estate Journal.
What To Watch Next
How quickly the hotel reaches its projected summer 2027 opening will hinge on permitting, site work and how closely the construction timeline sticks to plan. Watch for permit filings, visible vertical construction and, eventually, an official ribbon-cutting date from Vector or Hilton as the project moves from a bare site to a fully booked lobby.
