Multiple Departments Respond as Home Fully Engulfed

Fire crews from Hoffman, Barrett, Kensington and Herman were among the agencies that responded to the call. Deputies learned a person might have been inside the home at the time of the blaze, according to KVRR. When firefighters arrived, the structures were already fully involved; crews eventually extinguished the fire, and investigators later found a body inside the residence.

Medical Examiner Working To Identify Victim; Cause Still Probed

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the body was taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and to determine a cause of death. Officials noted that what led up to the fire remains under active investigation, and authorities had not released the victim’s identity as of Sunday evening, according to KVRR.
