The shooting happened just after 2:30 p.m., according to Action News 5. Shelby County deputies were the first to arrive and found the victim inside the house. No arrests have been announced as detectives continue to work the case.
What Deputies Found
“Deputies arrived to find the male teen dead inside a home,” Action News 5 reported. Investigators have not released any information about a possible motive or suspect while they process the home and surrounding area for evidence.

Other local outlets have chronicled several youth-involved shootings across the city this spring, highlighting an apparent uptick in violent incidents that authorities are still trying to get a handle on, according to the Daily Memphian.
