A just-after-midnight call turned a Lincoln Heights driveway into a crime scene early today, when a man was found shot multiple times on the 1100 block of Jackson Street, according to authorities. The victim, 50-year-old Eddie Crossty, was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene as investigators opened an inquiry into the killing.
Deputies were dispatched to the block at about 12:18 a.m. after reports of a shooting and found Crossty in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds, according to WCPO. The sheriff's office has not released information about what led up to the shooting or who they believe might be responsible.
