A deadly scene inside a west Hamblen County home on Sunday left two people and a family pet dead, in what local authorities are calling an apparent murder-suicide. The victims have been identified as 49-year-old Beverly Hunt and 51-year-old James Hunt. Investigators say the scene is being processed and that family members have been notified.
According to WATE 6 On Your Side, Hamblen County deputies responded Sunday to a residence in west Hamblen County and found both adults with gunshot injuries. Hamblen County Sheriff Chad Mullins told reporters the deaths are being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide, and that a family pet was also discovered dead from a gunshot wound. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains active as they continue to gather evidence.
