DegThai, the Nashville Thai street-food favorite known for punchy curries and Pad Thai, is headed for Hendersonville with a new restaurant planned for 750 West Main Street, owner Jay Jenratha told local reporters. The former Italian spot has already been fully built out, and the team is in a holding pattern while permits work their way through approval, so there is still no official opening date.
Where DegThai Will Land
As reported by Main Street Media of Tennessee, DegThai is set to move into the space at 750 W. Main St. that previously housed Trattoria La Caverna and plans to add expanded outdoor seating. Tripadvisor lists Trattoria La Caverna at that address, confirming the swap on Hendersonville's Main Street dining strip.
From Food Truck To Yelp Top 100
DegThai began as a food truck before settling into a Nolensville Pike brick-and-mortar in Nashville, according to Eater Nashville. The Nashville menu, which features kra prao (kai dao), red and green curries, pad thai and Thai iced tea, is also available through delivery platforms such as Uber Eats. The restaurant has earned national attention on Yelp's Top 100 lists, as highlighted by Good Housekeeping.
"My goal is to create a welcoming neighborhood restaurant where families and friends can come to enjoy authentic Thai street food," owner Jay Jenratha told Main Street Media of Tennessee. He noted that construction is finished and the team is waiting on permit approval before they can lock in an opening date.
There is still no firm opening day on the calendar, but DegThai lists the Hendersonville location as "coming soon" and will be the place to watch for updates and online-ordering details. Once doors open, the Hendersonville outpost will push the Nashville-born brand beyond Nolensville Pike and into the thick of Main Street's dining scene.
