
Two people were hurt Monday afternoon when a fire broke out in a mid-rise apartment building in North Miami Beach, leaving one person hospitalized as neighbors watched from the street while firefighters battled flames on the upper floors.
What Happened
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews were called around 1:30 p.m. to 16850 South Glades Drive, according to Local 10. Firefighters concentrated their efforts on the building’s sixth and seventh floors, and one of the two injured people was taken to a nearby hospital, the station reported.
