A dispute in the parking lot of a southwest Oklahoma City McDonald's ended with one person shot in the stomach on Sunday, according to police. The restaurant sits near Southwest 29th Street and South May Avenue. The victim was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Oklahoma City police told News 9 that the gunfire followed an altercation between two people outside the restaurant. The outlet reported that the victim suffered a wound to the abdomen and was transported to a hospital, and that officers did not have suspect information at the time of the report.
Recent Violence In South Corridor
The shooting adds to a string of violent incidents reported in the city's south corridor this spring, including a mid-May homicide at Woodson Park near Southwest 29th Street and Independence Avenue, according to KOCO.
