A quiet stretch of Pelican Drive in Norcross became a crime scene late Friday when a 36-year-old man was shot at a residence and later died at the hospital, leaving neighbors rattled as detectives work to piece together what happened. Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Pelican Drive, where they found the wounded man and rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Investigation
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Gwinnett County police identified the victim as 36-year-old Walter Cauldle. Multiple people were at the home when officers arrived, and investigators say they have identified everyone who was on the scene. Cauldle was taken to Northside Gwinnett Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, the outlet reports. As of Monday, no arrests had been made.
