Police are searching for a suspect after a 29-year-old woman reported an aggravated sexual abuse in Brooklyn early Friday morning, in an incident that has rattled a quiet stretch of Crown Heights.
The assault was reported at about 3:10 a.m. on June 19 near New York Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, within the NYPD's 77th Precinct. Authorities say the assailant pushed the woman into a garage gate, then fled eastbound on Atlantic Avenue.
The NYPD Crime Stoppers account shared a wanted flyer labeled "WANTED FOR AN AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ABUSE." According to NYPD Crime Stoppers on Facebook, detectives say the suspect remains unidentified and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
