The windfall came from a $10 instant ticket in the state’s “4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” game, with the claim filed Friday at Lottery offices. The winner has not been publicly named.
As reported by MassLive, the ticket was purchased at Quick Stop Gas & Convenience in Rockland and was turned in on Friday. MassLive also notes that at least 581 prizes worth $600 or more were claimed statewide that day, including 56 in Boston, 29 in Springfield and 17 in Worcester. According to the Massachusetts Lottery, the winning entry came from its “4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” instant game, a $10 ticket that offers multiple six- and seven-figure prize tiers.
