Kalthia, which lists its headquarters in San Diego and a portfolio of economy and select-service brands on its website, has been busy around Silicon Valley. Industry reporting shows the firm paid about $16 million for the 114-room Sonesta ES Suites San Jose Airport and roughly $15 million for a 138-room Sonesta in Sunnyvale, purchases reported by The Registry.
