Local road concerns
Milan Township trustees have previously described River Road as "in bad shape" and flagged it for maintenance in public meeting minutes, highlighting ongoing local worries about conditions on that roadway. Those trustee records lay out maintenance priorities and show River Road has been on the township's list for resurfacing work, according to Milan Township.

Troopers said they were assisted at the scene by the Erie County Sheriff's Office, Milan Township Fire Department, North Central EMS, the Erie County Coroner's Office, and Central Automotive, as reported by The Morning Journal.
