Wing So Good, a pan-Asian fried-chicken spot promising shatter-crisp wings, is taking over the former La Salsa corner space at San Antonio Road and El Camino Real in Mountain View. Crews are already busy inside the 660 San Antonio Road address as the new tenant pushes ahead with the build-out, though the company has yet to share an official opening date.
New Tenant Moves On Beer-And-Wine Permit
According to the Mountain View Voice, Wing So Good has applied for a Type 41 liquor license for the Mountain View restaurant. The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control describes a Type 41 as an on-sale beer-and-wine eating-place permit, which lets restaurants serve beer and wine but not distilled spirits.
Menu And Concept
On Wing So Good's website, the brand pitches "iconic fried chicken wing flavors" inspired by countries across Asia, including Cambodia, China, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The site also highlights extra-crisp, travel-friendly wings and lists the Mountain View location at 660 San Antonio Road.
Plaza Turnover And Local Competition
The restaurant is moving into a shopping plaza that has seen a run of recent changes, with Kusan Bazaar, Matcha Mori and Crumbl Cookies among the newer arrivals, the Mountain View Voice reports. Wing So Good will bring yet another Asian fried-chicken option to the area, joining nearby chains such as Bonchon and bb.q Chicken.
For now, the business website lists the Mountain View address but no opening date, and signage at the 660 San Antonio Road storefront shows interior work is underway. More permit or health-department filings are typically required before a restaurant can open, so public records will likely reveal the next steps before any grand-opening announcement hits wing fans' feeds.
