A drive on Stelzer Road turned violent yesterday evening when a driver was shot near the 900 block of the busy east-side corridor, prompting a search for the gunman by Gahanna police. The wounded driver managed to call 911 and was taken by paramedics to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where they were reportedly listed in stable condition. According to WSYX/ABC6, Columbus police said the shooting happened near the 900 block of Stelzer Road and confirmed that medics transported the wounded driver to Mount Carmel East in reportedly stable condition. The outlet also reported that, because the incident occurred within Gahanna city limits, Gahanna police are in charge of the case and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.

"The shooting happened while both the victim and the shooter were in their vehicles," Columbus police told WSYX/ABC6. Paramedics reportedly transported the wounded driver to Mount Carmel East, and officers canvassed the surrounding area for witnesses and surveillance video.
