A Tunica County courtroom turned chaotic for a moment Monday morning when a robbery suspect took off running just as his trial was about to begin, leaving deputies scrambling in the hallway.
Authorities say the man is 32-year-old Michael Wilson, known locally as "Bubble," who disappeared from the courthouse before proceedings in his 2025 robbery case could get underway.
According to FOX13 Memphis, Wilson arrived at court Monday morning, then ran from the building before his robbery trial started. The Tunica County Sheriff's Office told the station that deputies were actively searching the area and that Wilson's bond had been revoked while the search was underway.
Authorities Ramp Up Search
Per the Tunica County Sheriff's Office, patrol units are following up on leads and asking residents to share any information that could help track Wilson down. The department urged the public to call Crime Stoppers at 662-910-0400 with tips.
The Tunica County Sheriff's Office identified Wilson as a 32-year-old from Tunica, also known by the nickname "Bubble," and said informants could be eligible for a $1,000 reward if their tip leads to his capture.
