Brandon Flowers, frontman of the Killers, is heading back to the Las Vegas Strip this fall for a rare one-night solo show. The performance is locked in for Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Encore Theater inside Wynn Las Vegas, in support of his upcoming solo album Thrasher. Tickets are set to go on sale Friday, June 26, the same week Flowers is slated to release the lead single, “Plans.”
One Night on the Strip
According to News 3 Las Vegas, Flowers’ Encore Theater stop is a one-night-only affair on Oct. 6, with public tickets becoming available June 26 through Ticketmaster. The outlet notes that AEG Presents Las Vegas announced the show as part of a short solo run timed to the new record.
Thrasher Arrives in August
Pitchfork reports that Thrasher is due Aug. 21 via Island Records and was recorded in Nashville with collaborators including David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton and harmonica legend Charlie McCoy. The outlet adds that the first single, “Plans,” is scheduled for release Friday, June 26, and quotes Flowers saying he “found my way back to my father’s music” as a guiding influence for the album.
Homegrown Star
The Killers, formed in Las Vegas, remain a hometown touchstone, and News 3 Las Vegas notes the band has sold more than 35 million records worldwide. Flowers’ one-off night at Encore keeps him firmly in front of local fans while he explores solo material that leans into roots and country storytelling.
Tickets, Venue and What to Expect
The Encore Theater sits inside Wynn and Encore Las Vegas at 3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd., and the resort describes the room as an intimate on-Strip performance space. Local listings put the theater’s capacity at roughly 1,480 seats, so demand is likely to be high once tickets go on sale; check Wynn Las Vegas and NorthLasVegas.com for official event and seating information.
