Volcano Steak & Sushi has its sights set on McDonough, with plans for a new restaurant at 193 Highway 81 W, according to the brand and its manager. The restaurant is expected to come in at roughly 7,000 to 8,000 square feet, and the team is aiming for an October 2027 opening if construction stays on schedule. Company representatives say construction is next on the to-do list as they finalize plans for the site.
According to What Now Atlanta, founder Quanren Lin said via email that the team is in the planning stages for the Highway 81 location. Manager Andy Bazer told the outlet the company views McDonough as a growing market, and the piece notes Volcano currently operates about 10 active locations across Georgia and beyond.
