Atlanta’s bubble tea crowd has more than a few new combinations to investigate, thanks to a family-run shop serving Thai tea, milk teas, matcha, brown sugar drinks, sodas and frappes. Nobi Cha has locations in Buckhead and Kennesaw, giving metro Atlanta boba fans a menu that is considerably larger than the usual pearls-and-milk-tea routine.
The shop’s local profile got a fresh boost Friday through Atlanta News First, which highlighted Nobi Cha’s more than 80 bubble tea drinks. Traditional options include Thai tea and milk tea, while the signature lineup includes strawberry matcha and brown sugar fresh milk.
A sprawling menu goes beyond classic boba
Nobi Cha’s own description of the menu also includes taro, fruit teas, sodas and frappes, with dairy and non-dairy milk choices. The company says it uses real tea leaves, fresh milk and tapioca pearls, and prepares its teas and toppings every four hours, according to its official menu overview.
That mix gives the shop a wide lane: traditionalists can stick with Thai milk tea, while customers who regard boba as a dessert with a straw can go for brown sugar fresh milk, fruit-forward drinks or a frappe. The strawberry matcha, in particular, lands squarely in Atlanta’s ongoing love affair with colorful, highly customizable drinks.
Two locations serve Buckhead and Kennesaw crowds
Nobi Cha’s Buckhead location is at 4279 Roswell Road, while its Kennesaw outpost is inside the Carmichael Student Center near Kennesaw State University. The company lists both locations on its Atlanta-area location page, positioning the shops for everyone from post-shopping Buckhead visitors to students looking for a caffeinated study break.
The brand’s Atlanta presence is not brand-new, even if the latest coverage gives it another turn in the spotlight. Secret Atlanta reported in March 2021 that the Buckhead shop was planned as Nobi Cha’s first U.S. outpost, part of the Thai bubble tea brand’s push beyond Southeast Asia.
