Local craft beer fans are about to lose a longtime favorite, as Bad Beat Brewing announced this week it will close its Las Vegas taproom after 12 years, with final service scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 2. The short farewell message thanked customers and said staff will hold on to the memories while they pour through one last weekend of beers and goodbye events.
The brewery’s Instagram post featured the line “after 12 years, we finally found a hand we couldn’t win. thanks for the memories; we will cherish them always,” a sentiment highlighted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The outlet reported that the taproom will host its final full day of service on Sunday, Aug. 2, with wind-down events taking place the weekend before.
From Henderson To The Arts District
Bad Beat poured its first pints in 2014 in Henderson’s so-called “Booze District,” operating out of an Eastgate Road space that became a familiar stop for local beer hunters. That original taproom closed in February 2024 as the brewery planned a downtown relaunch, according to Bad Beat Brewing.
Nevada Department of Taxation licensing records list Bad Beat at its Arts District address, and Food and Loathing documented the September 2025 reopening downtown.
Pressure On Downtown Taprooms
Bad Beat’s exit comes during a rough patch for Arts District taprooms, where several small breweries have been feeling a financial squeeze. KTNV covered the December 2025 shutdown of HUDL Brewing, whose owner cited a roughly 25 to 30 percent revenue drop as a key factor in the decision to close.
Even amid those headwinds, Bad Beat managed to earn shout-outs for its rotating beer lineup in local roundups. The Las Vegas Review-Journal included the brewery in its guide to area taprooms, noting its varied selection.
Final Weekend Plans
In its public sign-off, the brewery did not address future plans for staff or hint at a successor concept, keeping the focus squarely on gratitude and a proper send-off for regulars. Fans are being directed to follow the brewery’s social media channels and check Bad Beat Brewing online for details on final events and any ticketing information as the Aug. 2 closing date approaches.
