Detectives with the Belmont County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit on Wednesday arrested 29-year-old Landon Alexander Gray of Bellaire on 10 felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor as part of a sprawling multi-state probe into child sexual abuse material. Gray is being held at the Belmont County Jail without bond, with his arraignment set for later this week. Authorities said he is also wanted in Louisiana on separate sex-related allegations and will be extradited there after the local case is resolved.
Investigation and extradition
According to WTOV9, Gray's arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The FBI, Louisiana State Police, and the Bellaire Police Department assisted in the operation, and officials say the wider investigation is still very much active.
"The exploitation of children constitutes one of the most severe crimes we investigate," Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack said, per WTOV9. He added that investigators would use every available resource to identify, collect evidence, and apprehend those who traffic in child abuse material.

Under Ohio law, pandering obscenity involving a minor carries different penalties depending on the conduct.
