Bensalem Township police say an early-morning burglary call at a local liquidation store ended with a suspect in cuffs hiding under a trailer and a months-old case suddenly coming into focus. Officers interrupted the alleged break-in on Saturday, then used surveillance footage and on-scene evidence to link the same man to a separate burglary at the business in May. The suspect was arrested at the scene and later remanded after an arraignment, according to police.
Burglary Call At Hot Deal Liquidation
On Saturday, July 25, at about 6:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to Hot Deal Liquidation at 3150 Knights Road for a burglary in progress, according to Bensalem Police. The business had already been hit on May 26, when surveillance video captured a suspect forcing his way inside and tripping the alarm, the department said.
This time, officers arrived to find their man still on the property. According to the police update, they discovered the suspect hiding beneath the wheel well of a trailer near the store’s loading dock, which is not exactly a subtle escape plan.
Evidence Ties Suspect To Earlier Break-in
Detectives later identified the suspect as David Adamek. He was allegedly carrying items that investigators linked to the May burglary and ultimately directed them to the safe stolen in that earlier incident, according to a Bucks County CRIMEWATCH mirror of the police update.
Investigators say on-scene evidence, combined with the surveillance footage, allowed them to quickly connect both burglaries to the same suspect.
Arraignment And Custody Status
Adamek was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kevin Wagner, where bail was set at 10% of $100,000, the police post states. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. The department noted that formal charges were not listed in the public update at the time it was posted.

Retail theft and serial shoplifting have become a bigger priority across Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General has created an Organized Retail Crime Unit to go after serial and organized theft cases. Those types of partnerships mean local detectives can and sometimes do coordinate with county and state investigators when burglary and theft cases cross municipal lines.
Detectives say their investigation into both Hot Deal Liquidation burglaries is still active and that they are seeking additional information, according to the Bucks County CRIMEWATCH mirror of the department’s post.
