Apt 4B, the upscale Afro-Caribbean restaurant and vinyl bar in Buckhead, has shut the doors on its Peachtree Road dining room after a farewell bash last Saturday. The owners say the move is temporary, more like a lease ending than a last chapter, as the team hunts for a larger space to relaunch the concept somewhere else in Atlanta. Regulars will remember the DJ-friendly dining room and chef-driven plates that blended Caribbean flavors with Southern touches.
According to WhatNow, the restaurant shared the news on Instagram, thanking guests, staff and DJs and writing, “After an incredible run, it’s time for APT 4B to pack up and move out.” The post added that “this isn’t goodbye” and hinted at pop-up appearances while the team searches for a new pad.
Menu, music and the vibe
Apt 4B built its reputation on inventive Afro-Caribbean dishes like oxtail hummus, snapper ceviche and whole fried snapper, all served in a room that doubled as a vinyl bar. The restaurant’s own site bills the concept as “Savvy, Eclectic, Intimate and Funky,” per Apt 4B’s website.

Owner, origins and the move
Owner Sim Walker opened Apt 4B in mid-2020 as a follow-up to his earlier projects, and the planned relocation reflects the team’s desire for a larger venue, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The AJC also notes that the team scheduled a goodbye party and has teased pop-ups at J’Ouvert Kitchen in Buckhead and Station 11 in Midtown while it searches for a new home.
For now, the Buckhead dining room at 2293 Peachtree Road Unit B is closed. The team says the concept will return in a new space and will run pop-ups in the meantime. Diners can expect updates through the restaurant’s social media channels as plans take shape, per WhatNow.
