
A charred body believed to be male was found Thursday evening in Love County, where investigators are now trying to determine how the person died. The discovery came after a grass fire drew deputies and firefighters to a rural stretch of southern Oklahoma.
According to News 9, Love County deputies responded to the fire near the intersection of OK-96 and State Highway 32 alongside local firefighters. Deputies discovered the deceased body after arriving at the scene, the report said.
What Investigators Know So Far
The case remains in its early stages, and authorities have not publicly identified the person. Officials also have not said what caused the fire, whether the blaze began before or after the death, or whether foul play is suspected.
Investigators are working to determine how the man died, News 9 reported. The Love County Sheriff's Office directs people with information about a crime to call 580-276-3150, or 911 for an emergency.
