Sunny Thursday With Low Humidity
Thursday will stay bright and comfortable by midsummer standards, with north winds around 7 mph and no rain expected. The National Weather Service’s Greenville-Spartanburg office says humidity should remain relatively low, with afternoon humidity dropping into the 30% to 40% range in many spots.
Skies will remain mostly clear Thursday night as temperatures fall to around 65 degrees. Friday will be warmer, topping out near 90 under mostly sunny skies, with only light north winds and another near-zero chance of rain.
Storm Chances Build This Weekend
Saturday starts partly sunny and hot, with a high near 90, but a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives after 5 p.m. Rain chances increase Saturday night to about 50%, with a mostly cloudy low around 72.
Sunday brings the biggest weather shift, with showers and thunderstorms likely and an 80% chance of precipitation. Clouds and rain should keep the high closer to 85, while storms remain likely Sunday night and Monday, when the high is expected to reach only about 84.
Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible Tuesday and Wednesday, although rain chances gradually ease. No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect for the Charlotte area as of Thursday morning.
