
Yesterday afternoon on Cleveland’s East Side turned violent when a 17-year-old was shot and rushed to the hospital, authorities said. The teen suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was taken by Cleveland EMS to University Hospital, where officials say the victim remains in serious condition as detectives work to piece together what unfolded.
Cleveland police said the shooting happened at 3754 Longwood Avenue. Cleveland EMS c onfirmed the teen was transported to University Hospital and remained in serious condition. As of yesterday, police reported no arrests and said detectives are continuing to investigate, according to WOIO.
Where it happened
The shooting took place on Longwood Avenue, part of an East Side stretch that has already seen multiple teen-involved incidents this spring. Investigation ongoing
Police said detectives stayed on the scene yetserday canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and collecting evidence. Officials have not released any suspect information, per WOIO, and investigators are urging anyone who knows what happened to come forward.
