San Antonio police and emergency crews flooded the North Side on Wednesday night after reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of East Sonterra Boulevard near the Highway 281 North frontage road. Officers remained on scene late into the night as investigators locked down the area and searched for victims, witnesses and evidence.

The portal notes that addresses are rounded to the hundred block for public release and that the list only reflects units that have arrived and are working the call.
Live reporting from local TV

Area has seen other shootings
The Sonterra and Stone Oak corridor has seen several high-profile police responses in recent years. In 2024, an apparent murder-suicide at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of East Sonterra Boulevard was reported by KSAT. Earlier this year, the same outlet covered a February incident in the 700 block of East Sonterra where a man was shot after allegedly pointing a gun at three security guards outside a North Side business; that report is also from KSAT.
How to help and what to expect next
Authorities have not yet released information about any victims, a possible motive or arrests tied to Wednesday night's call. Investigators typically update the public as they confirm details and notify those involved.
If you were in the area, saw anything or recorded video, tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers of San Antonio, and the City of San Antonio lists direct contact points for SAPD. This story will be updated as officials release more information.
