A late-night walk across NE Highway 99 turned into a trauma call Tuesday when a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Vancouver. Police say the crash happened around 10 p.m. in the 5700 block, when a northbound vehicle struck the person as they crossed outside a marked crosswalk. Medics took the pedestrian to an area hospital, and officers say the victim is expected to survive.
