Insight Global, the Dunwoody staffing and consulting heavyweight, is gearing up for a major expansion. The company said Monday it plans to hire more than 1,700 full-time employees this year to keep up with surging demand for artificial intelligence and other technical services. The new positions span consulting, technical delivery, sales, recruiting and corporate operations across the firm’s footprint.
According to a company news release cited by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the move is meant to cement Insight Global’s role as a major local employer as the region scrambles to adapt to new AI workloads. The outlet also notes the firm is based in the Twelve24 office tower in Dunwoody and is ramping up hiring even as many tech companies have slowed down or cut staff earlier this year.
What Insight Global Says
In the release, CEO Bert Bean put it bluntly: “You can't outsource transformation to software,” as Insight Global laid out its plan for 2026. The company reports that AI-specific demand jumped 136% in early 2026 and points to the launch of IG Labs and a Solutions Associates Program aimed at building an early-career technical talent pipeline, according to Insight Global.
Scale And Reach
Industry snapshots show that Insight Global already operates at significant scale, supporting nearly 40,000 full-time and contract workers with operations in dozens of countries. That reach helps explain why clients rolling out large AI and data center projects are turning to the company’s consulting and delivery teams. CB Insights lists Insight Global as a large staffing and services provider with broad global coverage.
Why This Matters Locally
The hiring blitz is a big deal for Atlanta’s northern suburbs, where Perimeter Center employers and the Dunwoody community have been watching AI’s uneven impact on jobs. State employment data discussed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution show the information and professional-business service sectors have shed roughly 8,700 jobs over the past year, even as demand for AI skills spikes.
Insight Global says many of the new roles will be filled through its training programs and recruiting teams, and it is directing interested candidates to its online jobs hub. For a list of current openings and program details, see Insight Global.
