Crews found the swimmer about 20 minutes later, brought the teen to shore and rushed them to Framingham Union Hospital, where the 18-year-old was later pronounced dead.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan confirmed the death and identified the victim as an 18-year-old, according to Boston 25 News. Framingham Deputy Police Chief Sean Riley told the outlet that officers were called when one person in a group of teens went under the water and did not resurface.

Local crews, including the Framingham Fire Department and a dive team, searched the reservoir after the 12:16 p.m. call and recovered the swimmer roughly an hour later, NBC Boston reported.
