Gold River Town Centre is finally getting a true sit-down coffee spot, as World Traveler Coffee Roasters prepares to swap its popular market cart for a permanent storefront in the shopping center.
The Sacramento-area chain is no stranger to the neighborhood, already pouring drinks from its coffee cart at the Gold River Sunday Market. Now it is set to join other local cafés at the center with a full café buildout, rather than another pop-up or tent.
According to the Gold River Messenger, the new World Traveler outpost is planned for Suite 10 at 2095 Golden Centre Lane. Market organizers noted that the brand "currently participates in the market with a coffee cart" and pitched the brick-and-mortar move as a natural evolution for a vendor that has been steadily building a local following on Sundays.
The opening was also covered by the Sacramento Business Journal on July 23, which reported that the Gold River Town Centre café is part of World Traveler's broader regional expansion and noted that the company already operates eight other locations in the Sacramento area. The outlet framed the Gold River addition as one more step in the chain's push into higher-traffic retail corridors.
World Traveler's own site backs up that footprint, listing several area cafés, including the DOCO downtown flagship, a Midtown shop on 24th Street, and locations in El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay and at the Galleria Mall. The locations page also teases more stores "coming soon," signaling that Gold River is likely not the final stop for the brand's local buildout. World Traveler Coffee Roasters
What To Expect
If the menu at World Traveler's DOCO flagship and other existing cafés is any indication, Gold River customers can expect the usual line-up of espresso drinks, brewed coffee, blended teas and a compact food menu built around sandwiches and pastries, as reported by the Sacramento Bee. That formula, pairing house-roasted beans with grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, has been consistent as the company has opened new spots around the region.
Franchising And Growth
Behind the scenes, World Traveler has been leaning on franchising to speed up its rollout. In April, the Sacramento Business Journal reported that the owners sold the El Dorado Hills and Folsom cafés to franchisees, a shift that can accelerate how quickly new storefronts appear. That strategy helps explain how the brand has been able to add locations across the Sacramento metro in recent months.
For now, there is still no official opening date for the Gold River Town Centre shop. Neither the market announcement nor the company's own locations page lists a target launch, although the website does provide contact information for customers keeping an eye on the countdown to opening day, according to World Traveler Coffee Roasters.
