A late Sunday shooting in East Price Hill has Cincinnati police looking for answers after a man was wounded on Woodlawn Avenue and rushed to the hospital with what investigators describe as non-life-threatening injuries.
What police say
According to WCPO, officers were called to the 1000 block of Woodlawn Avenue around 10 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Police say there is currently no suspect information available. Detectives remained on scene late Sunday night as they processed evidence and continued the investigation.
Price Hill context
The incident adds to a troubling run of violence in the Price Hill area. In January 2025, a 20-year-old man was killed in a separate East Price Hill shooting, a case detailed in 20-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead. Community groups and local nonprofits have been pushing for investment and violence-prevention work in response, including a proposed $16.5 million Santa Maria community hub for Price Hill that Hoodline reported on in May 2026, aimed at connecting residents with services.
Neighbors and organizers say those long-term efforts matter, yet many on the hillside still describe day-to-day safety as a constant concern.
How to help
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has video or other information is urged to contact Cincinnati Police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers. Per the City of Cincinnati, the CPD non-emergency line is (513) 765-1212. Crime Stoppers can be reached at (513) 352-3040 for anonymous tips.
Detectives are also asking East Price Hill residents to check home or business surveillance systems and call in any footage that might help identify a suspect.
