Around 9 p.m., officers rushed into the area, blocking streets as they searched for who was behind the shots. Neighbors reported hearing multiple rounds, but by late evening, authorities said no one was hurt and no arrests had been made while the investigation continued.
Calls about the gunfire came in just before 9 p.m., and video from the scene obtained by KSTP shows officers talking with a group of people at the park shortly after the shots were heard. The Edina Police & Fire Departments later stated that no injuries were reported and no suspects were in custody as of Wednesday night.

Yancey Park is a 19-acre neighborhood park at 5520 Hansen Rd., tucked into southwest Edina. It includes soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts and playgrounds that regularly draw local teams and families in the evenings, according to the City of Edina.
What Police Are Asking
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area and may have seen or recorded anything to come forward as the case remains active, KSTP reported. Officers said they are still working to piece together the sequence of events that led up to the gunfire.
