One of the biggest names in pre-rolls is betting on Cincinnati. Forest Park-based King City Gardens has locked in an exclusive manufacturing partnership to bring Jeeter, one of the country’s best known infused pre-roll brands, to Ohio, with products slated to hit shelves at The Garden dispensaries this Friday. The deal turns King City’s cultivation and processing operation into Jeeter’s only manufacturing partner in the state and pushes the local outfit into much higher volume production. Company leaders say the collaboration has already meant new hires, with more jobs on the way as production scales up.
According to Axios, King City will serve as Jeeter’s sole Ohio manufacturing partner and is planning an exclusive first release at The Garden locations before shipping product to licensed shops across the state. Axios reports the Forest Park operation has added roughly 50 employees in recent months and expects to grow to about 80 workers as output ramps. The outlet also notes King City spent months expanding its cultivation and processing capacity in order to land a major national brand.
What the partnership includes
In a release carried by PR Newswire, King City Gardens said it will manufacture, launch, and distribute Jeeter products from its Forest Park facility and will host an exclusive first-weekend release at The Garden dispensaries. Co-founder Caveh Azadeh called the collaboration “a defining moment,” saying the partnership will generate jobs and investment in Ohio. The company also highlighted Jeeter’s national footprint, noting the brand was founded in California and has been featured in national business coverage.
Why it matters for Ohio's market
Official state data and industry reporting show Ohio’s legal cannabis market has surged since adult-use sales began in August 2024. Non-medical sales reached roughly $836 million in 2025, and combined medical and recreational sales cleared the billion-dollar threshold, according to the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control. That kind of growth has drawn national brands looking for in-state manufacturing partners, and Axios reports Ohio now has roughly 190 dual-use dispensaries, creating steady demand for cultivators, processors, and manufacturers. For King City Gardens, producing Jeeter products inside Ohio keeps production, and many of the jobs tied to it, in Greater Cincinnati instead of importing from other states.
Local operations and next steps
The Cincinnati Business Courier has tracked King City’s growth plans and the investment linked to the Jeeter rollout, reporting that the deal brings dozens of jobs and a multi-million dollar investment to the region. WCPO has previously profiled the company’s 25,000 square foot Forest Park campus and its rapid staffing increases as it prepared for the recreational market. Company materials say the initial Jeeter drop will feature in-store activations, product education, and branded merchandise during launch weekend, followed by a wider rollout.
The exclusive first-weekend release at The Garden dispensaries will be followed by broader distribution to licensed Ohio retailers through King City Gardens’ statewide network, according to the company’s statement via PR Newswire. For consumers, that means Jeeter’s infused pre-roll formats are expected to start appearing on Ohio menus in the weeks after the launch, with participating Garden locations hosting events tied to the debut.
