A 16-year-old Jefferson County girl, identified by authorities as Gabbriana Boyster, was found dead inside a home in the 7900 block of Tower Road after deputies responded on Saturday. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said three juveniles were detained in connection with the case and described the investigation as active.
Deputies found Boyster with an apparent gunshot wound to her head, according to KSDK. Investigators said her body remained inside the home for hours before it was discovered. The case has been turned over to the county’s investigative unit for follow-up, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
"Investigators believe the shooting took place Friday evening and the victim's body was abandoned for hours," Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak said, as reported by KSDK. According to the sheriff’s release, three juveniles were detained at or near the residence. Juvenile officials are reviewing the matter, and no formal charges had been announced as of Monday afternoon.
