
Two people were killed on Wednesday night after gunfire erupted in South Dallas, according to police. Dallas Fire-Rescue crews and officers rushed to the 3400 block of Michigan Avenue late Wednesday, where both victims were later pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Michigan Avenue at about 9:26 p.m., where investigators found two people who had been shot, as reported by The Dallas Morning News. Police said the shooters’ identities were unknown, and detectives began canvassing the area and searching for clues.
Recent Violence in the Neighborhood
This incident is the latest violent episode in South Dallas after several shootings in recent months. A July 7 drive-by wounded two women during a fireworks gathering, underscoring a string of late-night disturbances and shootings the neighborhood has seen this summer, per Hoodline.
