A late-night confrontation in southeast Oklahoma City turned deadly Friday, leaving one man dead and another under arrest, according to police. Officers were called to the area near S.E. 15th Street and I-35 around 11:30 p.m.
According to KOKH, the 911 caller identified himself as 43-year-old Myron Cooper and told dispatchers he had been shot. Detectives later learned Cooper had been involved in an earlier altercation with 54-year-old Berry Russell Jr. in the 6100 block of N. Santa Fe Avenue. Cooper was rushed into surgery but died from his injuries. Police say Russell was taken into custody on a murder complaint.

Police say 54-year-old Berry Russell Jr. was booked on a murder complaint in connection with the shooting, and detectives are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence as the case develops, according to KOKH.
