Where It Happened
The shooting took place in the 3100 block of Webster Avenue, just west of Interstate 15 in Logan Heights, a dense stretch of homes and small apartment buildings tucked up against the freeway. The area has seen several violent incidents this year, a pattern local outlets have been tracking; a recent night erupted in gunfire on Imperial Avenue among other reported shootings in the neighborhood.

San Diego Police Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are leading the investigation, combing for evidence and working to piece together what triggered the deadly gunfire. Anyone with information, video, or tips is asked to contact the SDPD Homicide Unit at 619-531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-TIPS, according to the San Diego Police Department.
