The Bagelry is firing up plans for a third location on Montgomery Road this fall, taking its local bagel operation beyond its Over-the-Rhine and Oakley shops. The Montgomery Road spot is expected to be larger than the Oakley location, marking the latest growth spurt for the hometown bagel brand.
As reported by the Cincinnati Business Courier, the bagel and sandwich shop, which started as a pop-up before opening its Over-the-Rhine storefront in 2018, has confirmed its plans for the new Montgomery Road site. The Courier notes the upcoming shop will have a bigger footprint than Oakley’s, but a precise address and an exact opening date beyond the vague "this fall" timeframe have not yet been shared.
Menu and Where to Find Them Now
According to The Bagelry, the brand currently operates two locations, in Over-the-Rhine and Oakley. The menu leans on New York-style bagels, a slate of cream cheeses, and sandwiches that include a Nova/NYC-style lox option. The restaurant’s website lists hours, menus, and contact details for each shop.
Why Montgomery Makes Sense
Montgomery has been building restaurant momentum in recent months with new arrivals and development at Montgomery Quarter. The Bagelry’s planned Montgomery Road outpost is set to add another straightforward breakfast-and-lunch option for commuters and nearby neighborhoods.
The Cincinnati Business Courier pegs the opening window as this fall but reports that a street address has not yet been published. More specific timing will likely surface in future company announcements or through permitting records as construction and approvals move ahead.
