
A wellness check in Fenton took a grim turn Tuesday morning when officers discovered a dead man on the ledge of a bluff overlooking the Gravois Bluffs shopping center, according to St. Louis County police. Officers were called to the 600 block of Gravois Bluffs Boulevard around 11:30 a.m., where they found the man on a ledge near the retail complex. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and detectives have launched an active investigation.
Investigation Underway
According to KMOV, officers initially responded for a wellness check and then located the man on the bluff. Detectives were called to the scene, and the department has not released further details as investigators continue to work the case.

The bluff sits above a heavily trafficked retail stretch on Gravois Bluffs Boulevard that is lined with big-box stores and chain retailers drawing shoppers from across south St. Louis County.
