New Orleans just made its biggest bet yet on Chris Olave — and the Saints are paying him like it. The star receiver has reportedly agreed to a four-year extension worth up to $132 million, including $90 million guaranteed.
According to NOLA.com, citing ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal carries a $33 million average annual value, which would rank sixth among NFL receivers. Olave is also expected to resume being a full participant in practice after briefly withholding from team drills.
Olave Is Coming Off A Career-Best Saints Season
The payday follows Olave's breakout 2025 campaign, when he posted 100 catches for 1,163 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 starts. The New Orleans Saints called it the most productive season of his career and noted that it was his third 1,000-yard season.
The 2025 rebound came after Olave was limited to eight games in 2024 because of injuries. He also earned second-team All-Pro honors, giving the Saints a strong case for treating him as a foundational piece rather than simply a talented young receiver.
