Beacon Hill is getting a new New York restaurant with a distinctly weeknight-friendly pitch: wood-fired pizza, Italian-American comfort food, and pasta specials priced at $14. Fumo is expected to open its first Massachusetts location in mid-fall 2026.
According to WhatNow Boston, the restaurant is planned for 9 Park Street Place, with seating for approximately 80 guests. Co-founders Steven Gallo and Francesco Capolongo also plan to pursue permits for outdoor dining.
Fumo’s Menu Leans Into Pizza, Pasta And Comfort Food
Fumo’s current New York menu offers a preview of what Boston diners may find, including margherita, vodka, mushroom and prosciutto pizzas. The restaurant’s official menu listings also include baked ziti, chicken parm, meatball paninis and other familiar Italian-American staples.
The $14 pasta special is expected to run during weekday lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as during dinner on Sundays and Mondays, WhatNow reports. Existing Fumo options include penne vodka, rigatoni bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, carbonara and baked ziti.
A New Chapter For A Storied Beacon Hill Address
Fumo’s planned arrival comes as the Beacon Hill restaurant space continues to change hands and identities. Hoodline reported in May that Nine had moved into the former No. 9 Park townhouse, making Fumo’s future opening another notable shift for the address.
Fumo launched in 2016 and has grown into a multi-location New York restaurant brand built around accessible Italian food and neighborhood dining. In Boston, the combination of wood-fired pies and a $14 pasta deal could give Beacon Hill residents a new option for everything from a quick lunch to a low-key Sunday dinner.
The restaurant is expected to open in mid-fall, with additional details on the Boston menu, hours and outdoor seating likely to follow as construction and permitting progress.
