A 34-year-old man was shot and killed after an argument turned into a gun confrontation overnight in Philadelphia, police say. Investigators believe the man pulled a gun on a 24-year-old, who then fired multiple times and remained at the scene.
Officers were called to the 1600 block of Wallace Street late Wednesday night for reports of a shooting, according to FOX 29 Philadelphia. Investigators said the older man was intoxicated when he pulled out a gun and pointed it at the younger man during the argument.
Police said the 24-year-old has a permit to carry. The 34-year-old suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a hospital, while the younger man stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

No charges had been reported as of Thursday morning, and police had not released the identity of the man who died. Investigators also have not publicly described what sparked the argument or provided additional details about the moments before the shooting.
