A routine traffic stop in north Forsyth County turned into a full-blown manhunt Friday morning after a person fled the stop and bolted into the woods near the Polo Fields subdivision off Bethelview Road. Multiple patrol units, K-9 teams and investigators swept through yards and tree lines while neighbors watched from their driveways. Authorities told residents the search was active but said there was no indication of an immediate threat to the public.
