OneApp, a Portland rental-tech company, is taking 16,000 square feet at Northwest Portland’s Field Office for a new headquarters and plans to ramp up hiring. The lease gives the housing platform a sizable new base inside one of the city’s most distinctive office developments.
According to Portland Business Journal, OneApp is slated to open the headquarters at Field Office, an approximately 300,000-square-foot development created by project^. The company’s hiring plans were not detailed in the report, but the move signals an expansion for a firm that helps renters and property managers navigate the approval and leasing process.
OneApp Builds A Business Around Housing Access
OneApp describes itself as a provider of lease-support services designed to help renters get approved, property managers reduce risk and housing-focused nonprofits place participants more quickly. The company says its broader mission is to help house one million people by 2032, according to its official website.
The new office will put OneApp inside Field Office, a North Pearl District campus with landscaped gathering areas, rooftop amenities and flexible workspaces. The building’s designers at Hacker Architects describe the 300,000-square-foot project as a workplace built around natural light, outdoor access and adaptable tenant spaces, with LEED Platinum certification.
Field Office Keeps Pulling In Portland Tenants
OneApp’s deal follows a string of leases at the property. In May 2025, Colliers said Field Office had signed three leases totaling roughly 35,000 square feet since the previous October, describing the activity as part of a local flight-to-quality trend in office leasing.
OneApp’s careers page currently invites applicants to submit resumes and says the company is growing quickly. The expansion also arrives as Portland’s tech market shows signs of a cautious rebound, with Portland Tech Hiring Thaw coverage noting that local job growth is expected to be modest rather than explosive in 2026.
