Early Monday morning, a quiet New River neighborhood lit up with flames when a house near the intersection of Central Avenue and Honda Bow Road erupted in fire. Television footage from FOX 10 Phoenix showed large flames pouring from the home's windows, with the structure appearing to be fully involved.
As of early Monday, it was not immediately clear whether anyone had been injured or what started the fire. FOX 10 Phoenix reported that crews were on scene and said the station had reached out to Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical for more information.

On top of that history, the National Weather Service had an Extreme Heat Warning in effect for the New River area over the weekend, the kind of alert that can elevate fire risk by drying out vegetation and outdoor structures.
